The condo hotel industry seems promising in Chicago. One reason could be because Florida and the other famous locations are being well-developed that condo hotel developers must look for other places to build their hotels.

This year, three major condo hotels will be coming out in the Chicago area.

Shangrila Hotel, Chicago

The Shangri-La Hotel, Chicago will bring new standards of luxury to the city with sweeping views of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, exquisite exterior and interior design, spacious guestrooms and suites, round-the-clock butler service, a signature spa, restaurants and meeting space.

Elysian Hotel and Private Residences

The Elysian Hotel will be designed specifically to accommodate gracious city living, drawing on a philosophy of highly refined personal service and undivided individual attention as practiced by the intimate hotels of Europe. The Elysian will be used as an in-town second home, or for transient hotel business. The hotel and residence is slated to open in 2008/early 2009.

The hotel will be located at the southwest corner of Walton and Rush Streets, the Gold Coast of Chicago. It will be steps from great shopping at the exclusive Oak Street boutiques and the fashionable retailers along North Michigan Avenue as well as fine dining award-winning theater, museums and Chicago’s famous lakefront.

The private residences, two to a floor, will range from 3,200 to over 10,000 square feet and start at $2,600,000. The Elysian hotel suites are priced from $480,000 to $950,000 and range from 608 to 1,264 square feet.
